Global Design Direction

Overview

There’s a place where shopping for that perfect something is magical. It transports you, surprises you, and wows you. Because it’s not just merchandise, but memories that will last a lifetime.

As the global design lead for shopDisney, I oversee the full UX and Visual Design language of the platform in the United States and worldwide. My job is to ensure that we maintain a holistic design system across all platforms and that we’re always looking forward as a best-in-class digital retailer.

In 2018-2019, my team executed a full platform redesign and transition onto Salesforce Commerce Cloud, enabling the business to grow substantially. As the Principal Product Designer, I created a full living style guide, full wireframes for the website, full visual design guidelines for the website, and delivered development specs.

Mobile First Approach

While shopDisney was being re-platformed onto Salesforce, a high priority was ensuring that the site was designed to be optimized for mobile – where over 80% of our users were shopping.

Living Style Guide

The online style guide houses all specifications of shopDisney, including how to operationalize the site (and app) with the Salesforce (SFCC) Business Manager. The guide is over 80 live pages that the team collaboratively updates and is used by teams globally to understand our brand standards & identity.
